Dawn Hammond ACPA, (Principle) Certified Public Accountant

 

Hammond & Co. was started in 2005 by Dawn Hammond.
Dawn is the principle accountant and has been in private practice for over 18 years, she is a member of the Certified Public Accountants Association (CPAA) Dawn has always been family orientated and has made the head office not only child friendly but also friendly and comfortable for clients who visit, throwing out the usual waiting room and working office in favour of an open and relaxed atmosphere with beanbags and coffee, a place where there's no room for accounting jargon and allowing clients and their family to pop in for a chat.

As well as Accounting and Business Consulting, Dawns specialism is everything, being the principle accountant and founder of Hammond & Co. she has to be able to do everything that everyone else can do, even if it means she has to make the coffees.

Darren Stevens (Legal Associate)

​

Dealing with problems that clients have regarding tax appeals and tribunals as well as contract law, commercial law and private client services. Darren has years of legal experience, legal qualifications and the usual accounting and bookkeeping qulaifications that allows him to assist the client and/or litigant with whatever problem they may have. Darren holds the Certified Forensic Accountant qualification, he's a Certified Xero Adviser, Certified Xero Payroll Adviser, Certified App Adviser and a qualified and certified Business Coach.

John Jelf (Associate Accountant)

​

John ensures that limited companies get the best service and save the most tax, as well as being a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll, he's also a member of the IAB, an excellent accountant and bookkeeper and if he doesn't know how to do it then there's a very good chance it can't be done. He's also a jolly nice chap.

Lynsey Teggart (Chartered Payroll Manager)

Lynsey is a member of the AAT, she has years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll and accounting and really knows her asset from her elbow. She's a Chartered Payroll MAnager. Lynsey is always on hand should you need advice and has one of those voices that should be reading audio books to people.

Sophia Lowery (Associate Accountant)

Sophia handles a variety of clients, she is experienced with most computerised accounting packages and is always on hand to guide our clients through the software minefield. AAT qualified, Sophia can take the most messiest of paperwork and turn it into an organised set of accounts .

Abs Hewson (Trainee Accountant & Bookkeeper)

Imagine a large stack of receipts and invoices, not in any sort of order, just a massive stack of unsorted paperwork, many different sizes, some folded, some screwed up, some torn and some, but not many, in nice condition. Now imagine a woman with the speed, accuracy and skill to take that critical information and turn it into a nice clean pile of neatly sorted paperwork, all in date order, they look ironed and flat, and all the the expenses and invoices have been assigned to the correct ledgers and taken to trial balance, ready to be taken to the next step... That's Abs's role.

Emma Briggs (Senior Bookkeeper)

Emma is "The Fixer". If you have a problem with Xero then she's the one who comes out to your office or workplace and gets you back on track. She's not just a one trick pony though, because she's able to help you with other softwares such as Quickbooks, Sage, VT, Wave, and many others out there!. Emma is a member of the ICB and is AAt trained. As well as the qualifications she has many years of bookkeeping experience. She enjoys large piles of unsorted paper and turning those piles into nice tidy ledgers.
